  1. Chris Leahy will introduce a two-year Whitby property tax freeze and never raise taxes above inflation afterward. 
  2. Chris Leahy will fight the 10% Durham Region property tax hike proposed for 2027. Residents cannot afford a big tax hike. 
  3. Chris Leahy will cut the overall compensation for the mayor. $318,666 is too much.  
  4. Chris Leahy will strengthen taxpayer oversight through an Independent Auditor General at the Region.

  2. Chris Leahy will restore the budget cuts to the Library, Station Gallery, and Summer Student Jobs.  
  3. Chris Leahy will transform the Whitby Waterfront into a place for people to gather, play and enjoy.  
  4.  Chris Leahy will establish a new Terry Fox Memorial Park in Downtown Whitby as a place of remembrance. 
  5. Chris Leahy will work with Whitby FC to help build an additional dome to help fill the growing demand for soccer in our town.
